Disney dream
"Where childhood dreams do come true. And I fulfilled mine."
This is my most awaited content that I really wanted to write for a long time. And as a continuation of my Paris trip, this must be my favourite place. I decided not to include this with my last blog because I'm sure that this will be long enough to describe how wonderful and amazing my experience was. Nevertheless, I would like to share my one of the best dream I had.
Call me childish but aside that i’m playing Disney peaceful piano songs while writing this, I don’t know how to start this but i’m really a big fan of Disney. I used to watch Disney movies and tv shows every single day before wayback when I was a kid. I also dream that someday before I die, I want to visit the real Disney castle and see Mickey Mouse. I really wanted to experience become princess and meet my prince charming and have a happy ending. But yea, dream is always be a dream.
Everyone knows when you say that the Happiest place on earth is Disneyland. Last year we visited Paris. And for our last day, we went there. Can’t believe that the castle that I used to see on Disney movie introduction, is I already been to.
"My Happy Place"
It was actually a little bit rainy that day, but the bad weather didn’t bother us. So as we were at the entrance of the park waiting to scan our ticket, I can feel the excitement of every children around, some wearing disney princesses costumes, and some with different disney character hats but us, the classic mickey mouse headband. Heading to the main entrance, theres a big mickey mouse grass landscape and fountains on the both side. And as we entered, the big magnificent and magical castle amazed us. It is what it is. It was really marvellous. Can't help but to stare and amaze by the structure itself, the castle that I was just dreaming before is actually real. It was unexplanable kind of joy that I had felt while standing in front of it, just being thankful and thinking how blessed I am that I could able to see the castle in real life.
Just so you know, the Disneyland consists of two parks: the Disneyland Park, where the castle located and its more for childish rides and the other one is the Walt Disney Studio Park, where its more of movie making theme and adult rides.
Disneyland Park
Even though I've seen the movie"Sleeping Beauty" a lot of times, of course who wouldn't want to experience being in the real castle. So we climbed the stairs and we explore touring around and seeing so much interesting paintings and stained glass windows. And just right down of the stairs, we visited the small disney souvenir shop. If I could just buy all those things in that shop, I will do that. Going further, every disney movie has their own shops and fancy restaurants side by side.
Tip:
Theres an application called "Disneyland" where you can browse the map of the whole theme park, locate Disney characters and view the waiting time of every attractions. It is really helpful especially for those first timers visiting Disneyland like me, and it makes your tour very easy.
And as for our first kiddy ride, we tried the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups. Its a tea cup ride that took five minutes and it really made us the feeling in the "Alice in Wonderland". The decoration itself and the background music is really incredible.
Just in front, we also tried the Alice's Curious Labyrinth, it's a maze attraction. The goal of the maze is to reach the Queen of Heart's castle. And as far as I know, we took more than ten minutes to finish the maze.
Even it has a long queue, we waited just to try the one of the main attraction, the Carousel. Of course, every amusement park has this kind of very classic and unique ride.
We didn't try all the rides but we chose the classical ones. And one of these is the It's a small world. It's a musical boat that will sail and travel you in different countries while watching different dolls with costumes singing from all over the world. It features different parks and landmarks worldwide as well. This ride is really for everyone, I mean no exception.
Our Disneyland trip will never be complete without meeting the main character. So as for our special tour, we went to Mickey's House and had a nice and perfect picture with Mickey Mouse.
Disney Studio Park
If you are familiar with Aladdin, Toy Story and Cars, this theme park is for you. Aside from fancy stores, cafes and restaurants inside, theres a lot of features to see and experience. Thrilling rides and scarier attractions are the main highlight of this parks. It is also like Hollywood inspired and more for teenagers and adults.
Just near the entrance, there is Monsters Inc. selfie spot, where you can take a photo with the iconic door from the movie and of course with one of the best character, Mike Sullivan. And you can also experience the Scream monitor.
Move along, we also tried the Ratatouille, it's a 4D motion ride adventure where you can experience being little rat chef inside of Gusteau's restaurant. It was a really fun experience and its suitable for all ages.
After touring around, we went back to Disneyland Park to see the magical show. It's a laser projection onto the castle, with the fireworks and fountain display and of course, with the disney's classical music. Watching this kind of show was really a goosebump for me and my one of a kind experience. The fairytale world, which a long time ago was seen through the TV screen, became magical reality for me. I definitely feel like i'm in fairytale.
We've missed the Disney parade during the day, we never tried all the attractions, and we also had a not-so-perfect day but being with my little family and spent good times with them is really matters the most.
I hope this content inspires you and helps you with my little ideas and tips. Thank you for reading and looking forward for more travel.
